To date, industry summits have addressed five of CWB's six targeted industry sectors. The final sector – technology – is not quite as easily defined as the previous sectors. As the importance of technology skills grows across all sectors of the economy, a new approach to developing key employer and industry partnerships is needed. CWB and the other eight Workforce Boards in the region are planning a series of events to examine the impact of technology on our future workforce, and initiate dialogue and planning to ensure that educational programs are developing the technology skills the region’s future workforce requires.
