Initiatives
In addition to its mandated responsibilities, CWB plays a larger role as an intermediary, coordinator, planner, broker, partner and fundraiser. We look across economic, educational and social trends to identify workforce challenges and their causes, and develop solutions. The Board has organized its work around four priorities: 1) focus our work through a sectoral approach; 2) work at both a local and regional level on issues that affect our economy and labor market; 3) emphasize program quality and improvement in the current workforce system through evaluation, process improvement and pilot/demonstration work; 4) focus attention and support efforts designed to prepare youth for work and learning beyond high school.
